The skin your in
Sometimes your skin is too dry, sometimes too oily, sometimes it doesnt glow the way you want it and sometimes its perfect!
Buuut how do you keep it perfect and flawless? Well first you gatta make sure you’re keeping track on how well you are hydrating your skin! Drinking water is good for any skin type. Your skin is an organ so you have to keep it as healthy as possible. What you eat also plays an important part in how well ur skin looks and feels. Greasy or sugary foods can cause break outs in pimples and salty foods can take water from your body and cause your skin to dry out.
Dry skin:
- Using a soap free facial wash or exfoliating facial wash can reduce the dead skin cells on your face leaving you with soft skin immediately afterwards.
- When you get out of the shower, PAT yourself dry. Don’t rub! Rubbing can lead to wrinkles later on.
- Before leaving your steamy shower use a light lotion or oil. While your in the steam your pores are open and refreshed, once u leave they close up!
- Drink plenty of water!!
- Exfoliating products are perfect! You can even use brown sugar!
Oily skin:
One way to control that is with proper cleansing. But if you think you need harsh products to scrub away the extra oil, think again. Experts say that’s a big – and all too common – mistake.
- Use a cleaner designed to remove excess oil while leaving intact the barrier of fatty acids to help maintain function and protect our skin
- Avoid soaps, they clog pores.
- Clay or mud masks can help alot.
- Astringents and toners can also help – although the results are temporary, so application may have to be repeated more than once a day.
- Cosmetic products known as “anti shine” primers can also help by forming a layer between skin and make-up that works to absorb excess oil as it’s being secreted
These are just a few.
